The past three years, during which time I have earnestly studied Christian Science, have been the happiest of my life. I have found this truth to be of practical value, a demonstrable religion, indeed "a very present help in trouble."
My two little girls have known no other physician than the divine Mind, and they are unusually healthy children. A severe burn on the hand of the elder child was healed instantly by the loving work of a practitioner. At another time the same child was running with a stick in her mouth when she fell. The stick went back in her throat, causing to mortal sense a rather serious condition. This was very quickly overcome, the child suffering no inconvenience. It is the greatest comfort to me now to know that I can protect the children from accidents by the full realization that "accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind," and that "under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection" (Science and Health, p. 424). Measles, whooping cough, and colds have also been overcome by Christian Science treatment.
For these healings I am indeed grateful, but I am more thankful to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for the help which the truth they have demonstrated has been and is going to be in the training of my children.— Mannington, W. Va.
