When I first became interested in Christian Science I was greatly in need of help and guidance, both physical and mental, and this teaching met my need wonderfully. For years I lived on a very restricted diet, not being able to retain any other food. For about six weeks every year I suffered intensely with hay fever and asthma, and seven years ago after an especially hard attack I became a nervous wreck. The mother of a dear friend advised me to try Christian Science, which I am grateful to say I did; but before I was willing to do my part, severe lung trouble developed, and an abscess on the lung caused much suffering. About this time my husband became heavily involved financially, and the future looked very dark indeed; but "man's extremity is God's opportunity." I now have excellent health, and have learned that divine Love is the only real, eternal substance; so remembering this, we have now and here abundant supply.
