It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I testify to the healing and regenerative powers of Christian Science. It was not until materia medica had been given a thorough test and found wanting that I turned to the healing Christ. I shall never forget the sense of peace which pervaded my consciousness when, putting aside my groundless prejudices. I asked for help. The physical healing was slow, but I was thus stirred to increased effort in the study of Christian Science. While many testing times have come I realize that, as Mrs. Eddy says (Science and Health, p. 410), "every trial of our faith in God makes us stronger." There have been many physical healings both for myself and my little daughter, but it is for the clearer understanding of God, which Christian Science presents, that I am most thankful.
I wish to express my gratitude to those who have so lovingly helped me along the way. For the privilege of class instruction, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for our periodicals, I am most grateful; and for the life and works of our beloved Leader I give thanks to God, the giver of all good.—Palmyra, Va.
