AT the time Christian Science came to me I was at the very lowest ebb of human resources, physically and mentally. I had been suffering from nervous prostration, severe headaches, and many other ailments from which it seemed impossible to secure relief. A lady lent us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and we took the first opportunity thereafter to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. Such a sense of uplift came to me during that meeting that for the first time in years I felt free. Realizing what a change had been wrought in me, I began to investigate Christian Science and went to a practitioner, who cleared my thought of many of my most cherished skepticisms. In two weeks' treatment bowel trouble, from which I had suffered for years, left me and I have had no recurrence of the ailment. Last year a crushed finger, from which the nail was completely torn off, was healed and a nail grew on as perfect as the original in about a month. At another time blood poisoning was overcome instantaneously. The healings which have come to me have been as many as they were various, but most precious of all benefits is the enlightenment and spiritual illumination coming to me every moment.
It is with the highest sense of gratitude that I give this testimony. I am very grateful for all the Christian Science publications and especially thankful to God that in this hour of the world's need there has been given to it a means to supply every human need, through the indefatigable efforts of our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.— Du Pont, Wash.
