I was instantaneously healed in Christian Science through reading the chapter on Prayer, in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Before I came into Christian Science, which is now over three years, I was a sufferer all my life, more or less with headaches. Several years before I came into Christian Science, I suffered so much with the pains in my head that I did not care to live; my only prayer at that time was for God to spare me my mind. Materia medica could not help me. I went around to the different churches searching for truth, the truth that Jesus said would make us free; but I did not find it. I came away discouraged and sad. I felt there was something wrong with Christianity, that there was a "missing link" somewhere, and I wondered if that "missing link" could be found on this side of the grave. Thanks be to God for our Christian Science literature, as it was through one of the periodicals that I found that "missing link" in Christianity. It led me out of the darkness into this marvelous light—into the land of peace and Love and joy, unseen to the world, but known to God. I have learned that our Father's promise is true, as given in Jeremiah, "Ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Christian Science teaches us to understand God and how His laws operate. My earnest prayer is that I may learn more and more of this divine Principle which heals and saves.
