It is somewhat over four years since I came into Christian Science for a better understanding of God. I had never been well, and when I first saw the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I was ill with tonsillitis, it being the fifth attack in six months, keeping me in bed most of the time. Through reading Science and Health I was healed and have been free from this trouble since. Through the earnest study and application of the truth I have had many other beautiful healings. The nearest Christian Science society is three miles away, but I am able to walk to the service every Sunday. I am thankful to God and grateful to Mrs. Eddy.— Wilder, Vt.
I am glad to verify my daughter's statements, which are all true. As she states, she had been ill the greater portion of the time and the condition of her throat was very persistent. She had undergone three operations in a few years in the hope of being cured of the trouble, but it became worse and at the time she speaks of she had been dressed but a small part of the time for six months. The healing was accomplished in less than forty-eight hours by her own reading and understanding of the truth, and seemed to me a marvelous thing.—
