For the past six years Christian Science has been my only physician and has met my every need. It is therefore with gratitude and rejoicing that I bring this tithe into the storehouse of Truth so that it may bear witness to the efficacy and healing power of Christian Science. For twenty-four years the claim of hay fever and asthma held me in bondage. During that time "many things of many physicians" were employed, but without lasting benefit. After all material methods had failed, the decision to take a stand for Christian Science was made and the healing followed. It was slow in coming because I came to know that there were many weeds to be eradicated from mentality—weeds of impatience, criticism, and selfishness. Materia medica had warned me of the material weeds that supposedly contributed to the causes of hay fever, but not of the mental weeds just mentioned, which were the real cause, and great was my rejoicing when these were uprooted and cast out.
The claim of overwork of the vocal cords while a voice student had resulted in a growth on the voice box. This, too, was healed through Christian Science study and treatment. In my business life Christian Science has been a never failing help—and here I wish to express deep gratitude for The Christian Science Monitor and the healing truth it is taking into the business world, where business conditions stand so in need of healing. The Monitor has proved a blessing "pressed down . . . and running over," at every turn of the business road. It is my earnest desire so to live each day that I may reflect only credit upon the great movement for good which our well loved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, has established in the cause of Christian Science.— Chicago, Ill.
