Having been uplifted many times through testimonies given in our periodicals, I wish to tell of the great blessings derived from the study of Christian Science. The realization that my understanding of God was not such that it would sustain me in such trials as seemed to come to others about me led me to look into the teachings of Christian Science. At this time we were working actively in a denominational church.
Some degree of understanding has come, step by step, as I have been willing to give up old beliefs and to replace error with truth. Unrecognized faults have been brought to light, higher aims have been gained, and a new sense of humility and love has been revealed. I am grateful to God, whom I now know to be ever present Love, and to Mrs. Eddy, through whose faithfulness and love for mankind this demonstrable truth has been again brought to the world, also for the loving assistance of practitioners and earnest Christian Scientists. I have been healed of the effects of a severe fall, of inflammatory rheumatism, and of other difficulties. Our two children, the eldest now eleven years old, have never had any treatment except that given in Christian Science, although one of them passed through all the symptoms of infantile paralysis. At times when the way has not been clear to human thought, Christian Science has taught us to rely wholly on God.—New Rochelle, N. Y.
