I wish to express my thankfulness to God for all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science and to tell of a few of the healings that have come to me and mine. About four years ago Christian Science was presented to me, but I was not ready for it. One year later I hunted up the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, which I had put aside as an uninteresting book a year before. While reading the book I was healed of poor eyesight and was able to lay aside glasses that I had worn for fifteen years. Shortly after this healing my ten-year-old boy had a claim of inflammatory rheumatism. He was confined to his bed for two weeks, had to be carried from room to room, could not use his legs at all, and seemed in much pain. I declared the truth as best I knew how, but did not seem to help him any, so called on a practitioner for help. The healing was instantaneous; the boy walked and played one hour after the practitioner left the house. That is now three years ago and he has never had a return of the disease. My husband was healed of spinal meningitis in one afternoon. Another son was healed of a severe case of influenza, and my other three children have been healed of colds and minor illnesses.
Life seemed just a little bit of a struggle, raising a family of five children; there seemed to be financial lack, but after studying the textbook I learned that there was no lack of any good thing, that God is our supply and that we as God's children inherit all good. Realizing this truth has caused us to experience all good. Our needs have all been met, and there is a generous supply. A way was opened for a new position for my husband, with just double his previous salary. I am grateful to God for His loving-kindness to me and to all mankind, and my one sincere desire is to grow into a higher understanding of Christian Science. —Germantown, Philadelphia, Pa.
