It is a privilege to express my gratitude for Christian Science through our periodicals. In 1906, after an illness extending over several years, and after going to the limit with materia medica and surgery, I was led to the study of Christian Science through the life of a dear friend. Although I needed the physical healing, I did not begin the study so much for that as with a sincere desire to know if Christian Science is the truth. I very soon found it to be a practical religion, the understanding of the Principle of which can be applied to every problem. I was healed as the result of the earnest study of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I am indeed grateful, not only for the physical healing, but for the understanding of God as Principle and the understanding of the Bible which I have gained through the study of our Leader's writings. I am also grateful for every channel which she has established through which this truth is going out into the world to bless and uplift all mankind.
