When Christian Science came to me I seemed hopelessly adrift upon the sea of materiality, without anything upon which to anchor. I had given up going to church and had exhausted medicine. The last medicine resorted to for relief from stomach trouble was a patent medicine, but upon being told by a doctor that it was filled with opium, I threw what I had on hand away and stopped all treatment. When Christian Science came to me I was ready for it, and it has surely been a light shining in the darkness. I am more grateful than words can tell for the positive assurance Christian Science gives us that God is good and good is all. Christian Science has been my only physician for about ten years, and when honestly applied and studied it meets every need.
