Impelled by a pure desire to express my gratitude for the many benefits derived from the study and application of what I have gained through studying Christian Science, I send this testimony. I have been healed morally and I have been healed of poverty. I am grateful for these healings but I am more grateful for the knowledge of how the healing is accomplished. It was indeed as Paul described it in II Corinthians, "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." When I refused to believe in the evidence of the physical senses and acknowledged only the things of Spirit as real I knew that disease, poverty, and bad habits were no part of the divine Mind, and the diseased body or carnal mind which combine as one were recognized as false belief and replaced with the spiritual fact of man as divine idea, reflecting perfect health, good morals, and unlimited supply. All that really took place was that ignorance was displaced with an understanding of God and His creation.
I am grateful for our periodicals, for I know they do and forever will fulfill the mission they were designed to fulfill.—Louisville, Kentucky.
