A Few years ago I became suddenly ill with an ulcer of the abdomen, and for four weeks lay in bed suffering severely. To this was added peritonitis. The family physician called a specialist for consultation, who said a serious operation would have to be performed, of which I was afraid. Shortly before the time of the operation, my daughter's attention was called to Christian Science. I requested the help of a practitioner, which was immediately and lovingly given. I was able to leave my bed the same day and in a short time was completely healed of the trouble. It was not only a physical healing, for I also experienced a sense of peace before unknown. Since that time I have also been freed from headaches to which I was formerly in great bondage. For these healings and especially for a knowledge of this wonderful teaching, I thank God, and I am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and the practitioner who helped me.— Zurich, Switzerland.
