I wish to bear thankful testimony to a growing realization of God's unfailing love and tender care, as each day I study and try to make practical the teachings of the Bible through the interpretation given them by our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
Christian Science has been an abiding comfort and protection to my three children and myself for the past eleven or twelve years. I began its study, not because of any physical ailment or condition, but because I was searching for a loving Father, who hears and answers the prayers of His children. This I have found in Christian Science. We have not had any serious illness since I began the earnest study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and since then minor physical claims have been quickly met through Christian Science treatment. The subtle suggestion of financial lack has seemingly been our greatest difficulty. Through humility, faithful study, sincere application, and by clinging unswervingly to the knowledge of God's unchangeableness and ever presence, and that, as His child, I inherit all good, this insidious suggestion is being surely met.
During the past two years, while my son was "at the front," and my elder daughter found it necessary to enter the world's business activities, the assurance that, wherever they were, they were always under divine protection, and that Love was the only power and presence, has been my joy and sure support. The Christian Science periodicals, which come to my home with their intelligent, healing, uplifting messages, are an added cause for deep gratitude. Words but poorly express what I feel, and each day in humility and obedience I am trying to have my life testify to the fact that I am endeavoring to walk and talk with God.— Los Angeles, California.
