It is with a heart full of gratitude...

From the February 1921 issue of The Christian Science Journal

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I give this testimony, hoping that it will lead some one else to a knowledge of the truth. In May, 1918, I was drafted into the army and it was found by the examining doctors that I had lung trouble. I was discharged and sent home and was afterwards sent to a sanatorium for treatment, where I remained for almost two years, but as I did not get any better my sister sent me some of the Christian Science literature, after reading which I improved very much. When I saw what it had done for others and learned that God is Life, Truth, and Love I immediately gave up taking medicine and felt much better. My sister wanted me to make her a visit, so I left the sanatorium and went to her home. After being there for a few days I made up my mind to go and see a practitioner, and I continued to see her for about four months. I attend the Wednesday evening meetings, which do me so much good. Christian Science has healed me of a number of diseases, one of which was lung trouble and another catarrh of the head, kidney trouble of fifteen years' standing, and chronic constipation of years' standing. I am very grateful to God for all these healings and for the truth, and to Mary Baker Eddy for revealing it to this age. I am also grateful to the loving practitioner who helped me so much.—
