Testimonies of Healing

I am sending my testimony with...

From the June 1921 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I am sending my testimony with the hope that it will help some one who is hungering and thirsting for the truth. I joined a denominational church when quite young, but was never truly satisfied. A niece gave me some Christian Science literature and I saw that it was what I had always wanted, the undivided garment, the Christ-healing as well as the teaching. I soon bought a copy of ''Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy and began reading. I needed the healing, for I had suffered from headache, constipation, pies of twenty years' standing, and a very aggravated humor. All but the humor, for which I wrote a practitioner for help and was greatly relieved, were healed through my reading Science and Health. I have been able to overcome burns, bruises, and cuts without stopping my work. I am very grateful for a knowledge of Christian Science.—

With deep gratitude I corroborate the above testimony of my mother, and also wish to add mine. I had suffered with my eyes since I was a small child. They finally became so bad I could not read anything, and if I went out in the sunlight much would have to stay in a dark room for three or four days at a time, and I suffered greatly. I was at last told to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which I did, and from then until now I have never had any more trouble with my eyes. I continued the study and have been helped in many ways. I can truly say that it is a preventive of disease, as I have been carried through two epidemics safely, and whereas I used to have a cold continually I now rarely ever have one, and when I do it is quickly overcome. I also had rheumatism and could not use my right arm and hand. I asked a practitioner to help me and I was healed in one treatment, and have not been bothered since. Christian Science has been of untold help with my children and in my work, for all of which I am thankful and hope to prove by my life my sincere gratitude to God and to Mrs. Eddy. —
