When I attempt to write my appreciation for all that Christian Science has done for me, I find that I have so much to be grateful for that I hardly know where to begin. Before coming into some understanding of Christian Science. I had from childhood been subject to frequent and very severe catarrhal colds. As time went by these colds became more frequent and severe. Through the study of Christian Science this erroneous condition has been mastered to such an extent that a cold is rarely manifested, and when it is if is only of a few hours' duration instead of two or three weeks, as it used to be.
I have had many healings of acute pain such as rheumatism, neuritis, and headaches. An attack of ptomaine poisoning was cured in about three hours of earnest Christian Science work, and I remember being bedridden for a week or ten days with a similar attack in former years, when I had a physician and a nurse in attendance—this being before I knew anything about Christian Science—and afterwards could eat only certain foods. I was also healed of a painful swelling in four days treatment in Christian Science. When the healing came the freedom from intense pain was instantaneous. It is impossible to enumerate the many healings I have had, but I know through my own experiences, and from what I have witnessed, that Christian Science meets every need, and heals all kinds of disease.
Words are inadequate to express my love and gratitude for Christian Science. It uplifts, heals, blesses, and educates those who turn to it and injures no one. Its scope is boundless, for it enters into every function and activity of being. While I am thankful for the health, happiness, and supply that are mine. I value more the active and useful life and the better state of thought that have resulted from the study and application of Christian Science.—Omaha, Nebraska.
