I am very grateful for the understanding I have of God through the teachings of Christian Science Christian Science was first sought by me several years ago, at which time I was healed of stomach trouble, and since then many quite remarkable healings have been experienced. During the epidemic of influenza I was taken quite seriously ill. I sought a practitioner and was helped but not healed. I was on the eve of leaving Washington for a trip into the state of New York and while riding on the car I was thinking of what I had been told of God's healing power, when all sense of discomfort of the body suddenly disappeared and I was free from fear and pain and disease.
Last summer while swimming my strength gave out and I felt that I could not reach the shore. The thought of the allness of God came to me and of His power to save in the midst of seeming danger, and I felt peaceful, ever amid the struggle. A boat was afterwards seen within calling distance and I was saved, and I know it was because I could see so clearly that God is All-power, is All-in-all, and that we are safe under His protection. Freedom from worry and fear has enabled me to live a normal life, and I have gained over fifty pounds in weight. Very many beautiful demonstrations have been made during these past few years and I am striving to live my gratitude for blessings received. — Washington, District of Columbia.
