I Rejoice in Christian Science because...

From the August 1921 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I Rejoice in Christian Science because I know it is the truth that our Master said would make men free, free from what? From sin, sickness and death, because there is no life or truth in matter, since God is All-in-all and man is His image and likeness. When my attention was first called to this healing truth, which revealed to our Leader. Mary Baker Eddy. I had thought Christ an Science too high a know ledge for me but I can now say that i have for a number of years found it to be demonstrable, in the overcoming of rheumatism, lumbago, nervousness, dependence upon glasses for reading, the tobacco habit, limitations of age, results of automobile accidents, financial limitation, and self-righteousness. Now as I glean the fruits of being faithful I am learning how true are the words with which the Preface to Science and Health begins (p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I am grateful for our beautiful Lesson-Sermons, for the Wednesday evening meetings, and for all of Mrs. Eddy's writings, which are so helpful. I am also grateful for the Monitor, Sentinel, and Journal, and for all the Christian Science literature. How could we get along without them! They speak for themselves. It was a great joy to me when I was made a member of the committee to distribute Christian Science literature.—
