Four years ago, after I had tried different ways and means to be relieved from bodily suffering, a faithful friend called my attention to the teaching of Christian Science. After some opposition I decided to try it, with the thought that if this teaching were helpful, it was meant for me as well as for others; if it did not afford any help, I could put it aside again— but that I would find out and be convinced. Thus, it is with sincere gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and mine, that I give this testimony.
I was healed of heart trouble, as well as constipation in its worst form; and continual headaches caused from internal troubles were among the many ailments with which I had to contend. My doctor had tried to persuade me to undergo an operation, saying it would be the only means of relief, but I would not consent; and I am indeed grateful that I found the truth, and that it set me free.
Another blessing, for which I am indeed grateful, is the healing of my husband of a broken clavicle. He was away from home when the accident occurred, and was given first aid by the doctors and sent home, being told that it would be from eight to ten weeks before he would be able to report for work. However, we knew that God is the only power; and with the loving help of a practitioner, he was healed in three weeks.
