That Jesus' precepts of nineteen hundred years ago are being successfully practiced to-day was recently proved to me by the demonstration over typhoid, double pneumonia. The disease assumed its worst form; and would probably have proved fatal under medical treatment. It was, however, perfectly healed in Christian Science; and neighbors and friends say that, from my appearance to-day, they cannot believe I was ever sick. Not understanding Christian Science, they call this healing a miracle. The spiritual uplift and increased understanding, however, that came with these healings by far exceeded in importance the actual physical healing. The faithfulness, the unselfishness, and the loving-kindness of the practitioner, all through the seeming darkness were in themselves a great demonstration of Immanuel, or "God with us." As the physical error was overcome, so are financial difficulties being met; and the only evidence of the experience that is left is a greater faith.
It is really impossible to express my gratitude in words; and I only hope to attest it by the expression of that same love that was reflected by the practitioner, which resulted in such a great proof to friends, neighbors, and many strangers, as well as to me, of the power of the Christ, Truth, as expounded by our dear Leader.
