The testimonies of others have so often given me fresh inspiration and courage, have so often helped me to stop and count my own blessings, that I wish to express gratitude for a few of the many blessings Christian Science has brought to me. Among the physical healings which have taken place in our family since taking up the study of Christian Science, about five years ago, are those of influenza, chronic constipation, cuts, burns, sprains, several so-called children's diseases, and many, many others. While I am certainly grateful for these, they are not the most important, by any means. I am far more grateful to find, as I study the Bible,—the Book of books,—and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and conscientiously apply what I learn through this study, that fear, discontent, worry, impatience, selfishness, envy, jealousy, and many other wrong thoughts are gradually disappearing; and that, consequently, I am experiencing more and more of that peace "which passeth all understanding."
Words cannot adequately express my gratitude to God for His loving-kindness and infinite protection; to Christ Jesus, the Ensample, the Way-shower; and to Mary Baker Eddy, whose genuine gratitude spurred her on to untiring effort to find, and to put into words readily understood to-day, the truth which brought about her own healing. Only by solving every problem which comes up, through the application of divine Principle (and there is no problem too trivial or too great to be solved by it if correctly applied), can I hope to prove my gratitude for Christian Science.—La Crosse, Wis.
