I wish to express my gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me since I became interested in Christian Science. In November of 1913 I was taken seriously ill and was under the care of physicians for three months. Five weeks of this time were spent in a hospital with constant medical attention and with no relief whatever. The doctor finally told my husband that he had done all he could for me; and it was then that I turned to Christian Science. I called a practitioner, who lovingly took up the work for me; and I cannot express my gratitude for the patient and loving way she led me out of the depths. My healing was slow, for many things had to be overcome; but each day showed a little progress; and during that struggle for a physical healing I learned many things of greater value, for which I am grateful. I never cared to read the Bible, because I could not understand it; but when my healing came I had learned to love the study of the Bible and our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
I wish also to state that my husband was healed of pyorrhea in less than one week's time. This was a severe case of long standing and pronounced incurable. My husband is a traveling man, and he had been compelled to come home as he was so ill from the condition of his teeth and gums. We feel that his healing is a wonderful proof of the power of Truth. This took place about six years ago, and there has not been the slightest recurrence of the trouble.
We have had many more beautiful demonstrations, and I am thankful to God for all these blessings. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science, and for the periodicals that she so wisely established and left to us. I am also grateful for church membership in one of our local churches.— Indianapolis, Ind.
