It is just ten years since I first investigated Christian Science and after a few months' earnest study was convinced that this system of ethics and religion was not merely another of the numerous creeds and dogmas, but the actual law of God, operative and to be understood and obeyed. During the first few months all desire to smoke completely left me, and has never returned. In 1918, I was suffering from influenza. After combating it for three days, I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and was well in twenty-four hours. I have also had complete release from biliousness and constipation, and have improved mentally, morally, and physically. I am most grateful for God's loving protection through the understanding of Christian Science, which enables us to cast out demons in our thinking before their effects appear on our bodies in disease.
Our three children have been brought up entirely through reliance on Truth, and two are now regular attendants at the Sunday school. I am indeed grateful to the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, for her clear elucidation of practical Christianity as taught by Christ Jesus.
