The testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Sentinel have been such a help to me that I feel I should like to tell of the wonderful way we were helped when our little boy seemed very ill.
One night, after going to bed in the best of spirits, he suddenly began to cry, and said he had terrible pains in his head. We tried very hard to demonstrate the truth for him and for ourselves; but when morning came and there seemed to be no improvement I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, who has lovingly helped us many times. She gave me many comforting thoughts and promised to give treatment. For two days there seemed to be no change in the condition; and the third night about midnight he seemed to be much worse, and knew nobody. The practitioner was called up again and immediately said she would give treatment. I was very soon aware of a great calm, and the fear which had taken possession of me was overcome. In a short time the child lay still, seemingly unconscious. The next morning, however, he was sitting up in bed asking for his breakfast, quite well and very hungry.
We are very grateful for this wonderful proof of the power of Truth over error, and for the great help Christian Science is to us in giving us a clearer understanding of God and the truth of being. We are very grateful for all the literature, which so often helps us and explains our seeming difficulties; also to Mrs. Eddy for giving us Science and Health, the wonderful "Key" to the Scriptures, which makes the way plain to all who would walk in it.
