Christian science came into my life seven and a half years ago, when I was bowed down and brokenhearted with a great sorrow. Although I had been a church member for over twenty years, and loved my church, earnestly seeking to put its teachings into practice, I was like a ship without an anchor, and my whole nature was being changed by the resentful, bitter thoughts which were constantly my companions. Now, thanks to the teachings of Christian Science, I am daily learning to understand and know God, and to love my neighbor as myself. My health, which for years had not been at all good, has wonderfully improved; and I am now a happy, healthy woman.
My heart goes out in deepest gratitude to God, and to Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of this wonderful teaching, and to all who have helped me so lovingly from time to time. If I began to tell of the numerous physical healings we have had they would fill pages; but before closing I should like to say that since we first heard of Christian Science no material means have been used either by my daughters or by me. My one desire is to show my gratitude by my life, and to help others as I have been helped.— Rosebank, near Cape Town, South Africa.
