Christian Science helps one in so many ways it is difficult to know where to begin to tell of the many benefits received. It is ten years since I was instantaneously cured of a troublesome disease; and not a day has passed since then without some proof of the healing power of Truth. I have been healed of influenza, colds, headaches, acute indigestion, gouty eczema, burns, and fear of accidents. For these healings I am extremely grateful. After being a semi-invalid for years it is wonderful to be freed from fear of climate, food, and overfatigue.
I am also deeply grateful for the help of Christian Science in practical, everyday affairs. The realization that there is but one Mind, God, solves at once most of the disagreements of family life. Just lately I had a striking example of this. We were obliged to remove from our home. For a long time it seemed impossible to find another that would please all members of the family. At last I began to see that a belief in self-will was hindering. That had to be overcome; and with the realization that all of God's thoughts have their perfect place, quite suddenly a house was found, which is proving a comfortable and happy home.
I am satisfied that Christian Science is applicable to all problems,— mental, moral, and physical. When the demonstration seems slow, I have always found that it was my own fault; that some false sense was preventing me from grasping the right idea. As Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 242): "In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,— self-will, self-justification, and self-love, —which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death." — Glasgow, Scotland.
