For many years I have longed to contribute my quota of gratitude for the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science, but I have never felt I had anything important enough to write about compared to the many marvelous testimonies I have been reading in the periodicals during this time. Since giving a testimony on the healing of seasickness and finding many people grateful to have heard it, I venture to write it.
All my life I have had a great dread and fear of the sea. I vowed I would never make a long voyage. However, as many things we do not want to do are seemingly just the ones we have to do, I have had to make many voyages. The first was of six weeks' duration. I suffered terribly from fear and seasickness, and dreaded, more than ever, the next voyages, though I took strong drugs to mitigate the suffering. After hearing of Christian Science I had treatment during the next two voyages, and was relieved of fear and dependence on drugs; but I was never happy while on the sea. The last voyage I made was from Buenos Aires, South America, to New York. We were twenty-two days on the sea. I asked the practitioner who has helped me in so many ways to give me treatment during the voyage, and am overjoyed to say that the result was most harmonious.
I have witnessed such beautiful healings in our little field in Buenos Aires, where we are only a handful, and have received so much benefit myself through the work in that field, that I wish to testify to what Christian Science is doing in one of the faraway corners of the earth. I feel untold gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for making practical for humanity the healing truth through her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," and her other writings, and to those who through the study and understanding of these writings are helping humanity.— Buenos Aires, Argentina.
