REST

From the February 1924 issue of The Christian Science Journal

God doth in holy action rest;See Science and Health, p.519 . Before His law my heart is still;
For man by Love divine expressed
Is ever governed by His will.

Let time rush on in fancied flight,
With chance and change by day and night;
Nor birth, nor age, nor death can blight,
In His eternal noon of light.

No tears, no failure shall I find
Upon the page Love's hand unfolds;
For infinite, all-knowing Mind
Life's fame and fortune safely holds.

With joy and peace when day is done,
That heavenly mandate oft has blessed;
While earth's work waits upon the sun,
God doth in holy action rest.*
