In gratitude for relief from a distressing physical condition, I wish to bear witness to the healing power of Christian Science. Medical advice offered no hope, but it was thought a surgical operation might remove the trouble. I was on my way to be operated on, when Christian Science treatment was suggested to me by a Christian Science nurse. The treatment was begun and continued faithfully. Recently the obstruction passed from me, and with it all pain and the many annoyances which accompanied the condition. A chronic bowel trouble has also been healed. I no longer have a restricted diet, but eat everything which a normal appetite requires.
Nearly six years ago my little daughter, then an infant a few months old, was suffering from a rupture, also from what the doctors called marasmus, and was so wasted that she weighed no more than the average newborn infant. The doctors tried every remedy known to them, with no improvement. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and after the first treatment the baby went to sleep for the night. In the morning she was much improved and continued to gain. She is now a perfectly healthy, active child.
For these proofs of God's love and power, and for the faithful work of the practitioner, I am most grateful.— New York, New York.
