I should like to express my gratitude for the life-giving currents of Christian Science. Before coming into Science I was practically an invalid, having been for four years in bed most of the time. During this time I had seen thirteen physicians, each one of whom gave the trouble a different name.
When all human aid had failed, I turned to Christian Science, hoping that I might feel strong again, but not expecting to be healed of all the pain and suffering I was then in. But I found that God gives us much more than we ask. Through reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for about five months, together with absent treatments, I was completely healed. Although my healing was slow, it was wonderful. I had been healed of the need of glasses, of weak back, headaches, toothache, nervousness, piles, and loneliness. I could only sing with the angels, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." From that day to this I have not had one drop of medicine. Christian Science meets all my daily needs.
I have had many instantaneous healings; and one demonstration I should like to mention was at the time of an automobile accident. At crossroads, while going at full speed, another car hit the car my brother and I were riding in, knocking it off the road, bottom side up, and hanging the back wheel on the fence, leaving us but a small space to be in; but we escaped without an injury of any kind. My thought just before we went over was that there is nothing real but good.
