It is over nine years since Christian Science was recommended to me, and each year has revealed more of the Christ, Truth, as Christian Science has been demonstrated in my life. From the first visit of a practitioner I was healed of taking medicine. For me that was indeed a demonstration, for I was one much addicted to the use of it.
Most of my difficulties have been physical, and there have been many opportunities to prove the healing power of Christian Science. Among other things, I have been healed of stomach trouble and grippe. There have been periods of discouragement at the slow healing of some diseases; but I have been encouraged and strengthened through the loving help of a practitioner and the promise given in the Bible as found in the eighth chapter of John, where Jesus says, "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I have also experienced quick healings, which have proved to me God's availability as an ever present help in trouble.
The revelation of the truth about God and man's relation to Him, as taught in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, has been a cause for more gratitude to me each day. I thank God for Christian Science.— Buffalo, New York.
