It is with a deep feeling of gratitude to our Father-Mother God and to Christ Jesus. that I wish to testify to all the many blessings, physical and mental, I have received. Through Christian Science I have regained health and joy.
About eight years ago I fell ill and visited physicians and herbalists without obtaining any appreciable relief. In spite of their care, I felt my health and strength diminishing from day to day. My doctor told me that there was now but one thing to do—to go to a hospital and undergo an operation. I went courageously, believing I would be healed. The doctor was surprised at the seriousness of the condition and stated there was a cancerous tumor in the intestine. After six months of suffering, I was able to leave the hospital and go home, though far from being healed. Three months later a renowned doctor, under whose care I was, seeing the gravity of my case, said that my life would not last much longer. For the third time, in a critical condition, I was taken to the hospital, where the doctor said the same as the others. All had taken much trouble in my behalf; for which kindness I am very grateful.
Then my husband and I heard of Christian Science; and immediately we earnestly investigated it, for it was our only hope for health, joy, peace, and happiness. I asked help from a practitioner, who lovingly devoted herself to opening the way to this beautiful truth, which I was happy to follow. I can say that since then, for five years, I have only rejoiced. My health as well as my strength has returned naturally, and I no longer have recourse to any remedy besides God, my only Physician; and I am assured that it is thus, and only thus, we can find health and happiness. My prayer is to do all I can to reflect a greater understanding of Truth, and to love and help my neighbor.
