I heard of Christian Science for the first time in 1907. I was suffering physically and was constantly under medical treatment; but as medicine was of no avail, I decided to seek healing in Christian Science. I did not understand very much about this teaching, so asked a practitioner for help, which was lovingly given. The healings did not always take place instantaneously, because my wrong thinking did not change all at once ; but I know that the wonderful truth never fails.
I wish to mention some of the healings and blessings which I have experienced. I was healed of particular rheumatism as well as of abdominal complaints. In 1921 error again presented itself in the form of an ulcer. I immediately asked a practitioner for help, and in two months the trouble had disappeared. I have been able to overcome several lesser complaints with the truth. In January, 1925, I was taken with such pain in the stomach that I could hardly eat my meals. I tried to realize the truth for myself, but the pain yielded only for a short time. So I turned to a practitioner for help, and in four days the difficulty was overcome. In June, too, divine Love healed me in a short time of a sore throat and cold through my own slight understanding. Now I am enjoying good health. Christian Science has become very dear to me, and is my only help in sickness and in all my affairs. It is true I still have errors to overcome, but I know that "with God all things are possible."
