I heard of Christian Science for the first time in 1914, and was healed in three treatments of a very serious complaint. Before I knew of Christian Science I had consulted several doctors; but they did not express themselves frankly, and only told me that the glands of my neck were swollen. But this complaint continued to get worse; so I went to a homeopath, and he told me I had a very serious trouble and that it would be necessary to operate. I asked him if it were not possible to help me in any other way. He said he would try, and gave me some medicine. However, in a few days this doctor sent me word that I did not need to come to him again, as my complaint was a cancer; hence incurable.
Then my attention was called to Christian Science, and I decided to turn to it. I heard that in Christian Science one worked with God, so I had to acknowledge that I should be helped, for with God nothing is impossible. I had read several Herolds. I asked for help, which was lovingly given; and in three treatments I was healed. Not only the cancer, but many other troubles from which I had suffered for fifteen years, were forced to yield. A short time ago an old complaint was again in evidence; but as I worked to the best of my ability as we are taught in Christian Science, it did not last long. This occurred three times; but through the thoughts that God is Love, that Love cannot know evil, that all space is filled with Love and that nothing inharmonious is there, the lie had to yield to the truth.
