(Manual, Art. VIII, Sect. 6)
AT the present time there is an evident need for all Christian Scientists to beware of giving assent or credence to any of the erroneous propaganda which clamors for their attention. Printed matter, the intent of which is to deceive, is repeatedly sent to Christian Scientists, especially to those whose names and addresses are in The Christian Science Journal. It should be remembered that no assertion is true or authentic merely because it has been put in print; nor should any argument be accepted merely because it is boldly or artfully presented. For a pertinent precept from our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, see "Miscellaneous Writings" 119:3, and the context of this citation.
All communications sent by this Board to Christian Scientists are duly authenticated or issued over our signature. Christian Scientists should not accept as genuine any communication for which no one assumes responsibility.
