It is more than eleven years since my wife and I became students of Christian Science, and not once have we regretted it, but rather rejoice and are glad because we have found it the best thing that ever came into our lives. To tell of the healings, the fears calmed, the protection, the hope, the improved outlook on life gained through spiritual understanding derived from the study of this Science, is more than can be done in a testimony. During these years Christian Science has been our only medicine and physician; and it has successfully met the different diseases which have come to our boy, now ten years old, and to ourselves during this period.
I have been healed of a serious breakdown in health, the symptoms of which included a weak heart, high blood pressure, and nervousness.
I think the greatest benefit which Christian Science has brought to me, and for which I am deeply grateful to its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, is my vastly improved concept of God and His creation. This has greatly added to my interest and hope in life. It has made the Bible, which previous to the study of Christian Science seemed a meaningless and contradictory book, a source of endless enjoyment, strength, and guidance, and has made it truly the chart of life to me. The understanding which the study and practice of Christian Science has brought to me, and its assurance of God's love and power and their availability to man everywhere and all the time, takes away the fear that anything discordant in any form at any time in any place could come upon me.
