My life has been changed from one black with pain and despair to one rich with wonderful blessings and harmonious living since I found, through Christian Science, that God is Life, Truth, and Love. Thirteen years ago, while teaching in a small town in central Iowa, I was stricken with appendicitis at a time when I was having serious domestic difficulties. After suffering for eight weeks and being told by my attending physician that I would never be any better until I underwent an operation, I turned to Christian Science as a last resort. I was immediately relieved, but my thought was slow in yielding. In about three months I had an acute attack, and called a Christian Science practitioner, who lived thirty miles away, by telephone, for I was in danger of being rushed to the hospital.
