ASPIRATIONS

From the July 1929 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"The snowbird sings and soars amid the blasts." Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, page 220.
Aspiring thoughts will ever soar and sing;
The darkest clouds of mist through which they rise
Will cleave asunder, and the gale but aids—
Aye, forces higher those on upward wing.
Men need not cling to earth; an inward urge,
Which ever comes, compels them to aspire
To holy things; and as they bravely soar,
Oh! like the snowbird, may they sing and sing!
