ASPIRATIONS

From the July 1929 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"The snowbird sings and soars amid the blasts." *
Aspiring thoughts will ever soar and sing;
The darkest clouds of mist through which they rise
Will cleave asunder, and the gale but aids—
Aye, forces higher those on upward wing.
Men need not cling to earth; an inward urge,
Which ever comes, compels them to aspire
To holy things; and as they bravely soar,
Oh! like the snowbird, may they sing and sing!
