In May, 1926, I became very ill with what the doctors and nurses called heart trouble and dropsy, low pulsation, and high blood pressure. I was told by the doctor that I had two incurable diseases, but that he could help me to some extent. I had been reading Christian Science literature for some time, so I sent for a practitioner. Treatment was given me, and in a short time my condition began to improve: the swelling began to recede from my feet, legs, and bowels, and the high blood pressure ceased. I got better, and in a few days was up and on my feet, and felt in better condition than I had for four years.
My healing from dropsy is complete, and I have had several other demonstrations which have given me further assurance of the efficacy of Christian Science. I am sure that I owe my life to this Science, and I am deeply grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for that wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which has pointed the way to joy and health for thousands of discouraged men and women, by unfolding the Bible so that they can read it with understanding.— Forest Grove, Oregon.
