Christian Science has met my every need, in sickness, in sorrow, and in lack. During the past sixteen years I have relied wholly on God to lead me out of the darkness of error into the light of Truth and Love.
Thirteen years ago I was healed of consumption through faithful study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, in connection with the Bible. I had worked faithfully for months without any noticeable results; then I realized that I was afraid of the use of human will. One morning I eagerly read these words (Science and Health, p. 206):"The power of the human will should be exercised only in subordination to Truth."Then with a strong determination these words from the Bible were realized: "I will arise and go to my father." I was healed!
I have also been healed of rheumatism, neuralgia, influenza, dropsy, poisoning, headaches, and bruises. For all these healings I am indeed grateful. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and our local branch church, for being able to take part in the activities of our church and Sunday school, and for the Christian Science periodicals. What I am most grateful for is the spiritual understanding of the Bible which I have gained through the study of the writings of our beloved Leader Mrs. Eddy.— Norfolk Nebraska
