The availability of God's law as revealed in Christian Science has been proved to me in many instances of protection, provision, peace, guidance, health, and happiness.
From childhood the Bible had been a constant source of interest to me. However, not until the spiritual import of the Word was gained through the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was it seen to contain demonstrable proofs of God's ever-presence and willingness to heal. At the first reading of the textbook I was healed of a severe eye trouble for which I had worn glasses.
At one time a deep cut, almost severing the thumb, was healed, leaving no scar. The work in which I was engaged required the vigorous use of the right hand, especially the thumb, for eight hours each day. During the week in which the healing was accomplished, neither the plan nor the speed of the work varied from the usual schedule.
