I consider it not only a duty and a privilege to give a testimony of the wonderful experiences I have had in Christian Science, but also a glorious opportunity to count my blessings. To those wishing for some assurance as to the efficacy of Christian Science I can say that it has met every need of a family of five for over sixteen years. My parents took up the study of this Science when we children were all under ten years of age. Since then many healings have been brought about by the application of Christian Science. I was healed in two or three treatments of severe fever in its incipient stage. With the loving help of Christian Science practitioners other members of the family have been healed of headaches, chronic and acute indigestion, colds, a severe case of measles and fever, influenza, bilious fever, nervous breakdown, and many other ills.
Several years ago a bone in my left arm was fractured, and it was healed in a few days simply by reading from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Later my cheek bone was fractured during a football game, and one eye was affected. With the help of a practitioner this condition was healed. My eyes passed examination by a doctor.
No matter what kind of problem is presented, be it financial, moral, physical, social, or otherwise, the remedy is always found in the application of Christian Science. Why? Because wrong thinking in the individual is corrected, and as our Leader writes on pages 185 and 186 of Science and Health, "A patient under the influence of mortal mind is healed only by removing the influence on him of this mind, by emptying his thought of the false stimulus and reaction of will-power and filling it with the divine energies of Truth."
