For many blessings received through Christian Science I should like to express my gratitude in the following testimony.
After having an operation on my nose, I was taken ill with pneumonia and pleurisy. My healing was very slow. I was confined to my bed for about fifteen weeks and showed little progress toward recovery. A serious lung trouble gradually developed from the pneumonia. In order not to lose my position I felt obliged to take up my work again after about seven months. I succeeded in working for two months; then came a relapse, and I was obliged to discontinue work again. The doctor diagnosed catarrh of the lungs and recommended a sanatorium as the only means of relief. In his opinion I was not to think of going to work again for a considerable time.
Then I became acquainted with Christian Science. As soon as I was able to get up, I went to see a practitioner, who lovingly gave me treatment. Even after the first treatment I felt stronger, and after two days I was able to resume my work, which requires traveling about. The doctor had said that under no condition should I expose myself to bad weather. But to my great joy I was able to carry on my work well. Through the loving help and great patience of the practitioner my condition improved perceptibly until I was completely healed. Since the time of my receiving Christian Science treatment, I have with God's help been able to carry on my work without interruption, although it obliges me to be out in all kinds of weather. My gratitude for this is beyond expression.
