A PRAYER

From the October 1934 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Hear my prayer, dear Father-Mother,
When the dawn awakens me;
Let Thy thoughts around me hover,
Let them guide and strengthen me.

Hear my prayer, dear Father-Mother,
When the midday's busy strife
Holds me in its noise and clamor;
Keep me, guide me, Truth and Life.

Hear my prayer, dear Father-Mother,
When the close of day draws near;
Let me know Thy love will ever
Shield, protect, and cast out fear.

Hear my prayer, dear Father-Mother,
When the night's dark shadows fall;
Let Thy thoughts still o'er me hover,
In Thy peace, enfold us all.
