Christian Science has changed my whole outlook and has transformed me into one who enjoys happiness, health, and freedom.
The happiest day of my life came over six years ago, when a dear friend presented to me a bundle of Christian Science literature. After I had been reading for about five minutes in a Sentinel, these wonderful words of Christ Jesus illumined my consciousness: "If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." In the twinkling of an eye my whole outlook was changed, and I was conscious of a glorious spiritual uplifting. Always of a religious temperament, I had earnestly prayed for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. My prayer was answered! I realized instantly that Christian Science is the truth about God, and that I had at last found the religion which could satisfy my every desire.
On account of a weak throat and nasal catarrh, which also affected my sight, I was taught to take great care of myself. I could not change out of a woolen garment into a cotton one without catching cold, nor could I venture outside in the evening without a hat or some kind of wrap over my head without having nasal catarrh, with which I would be miserable for days at a time. I am grateful to say that all this has vanished, and I have never had a recurrence of the disease. My eyesight is normal. Now I go out in all kinds of weather without a hat, and never am fearful if my clothes get wet.
