I wish to express gratitude for the teachings of Christian Science. For many years I was unable to see Mrs. Eddy as God's messenger, but since I have accepted her teachings as being from God I have been healed of many false desires, and have become a more Godlike man. The desire for strong drink, tobacco, gambling, and other evil habits has also left me. I am very grateful for all the activities of the Christian Science movement; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for active service in the latter; also for all the help I have received from church members and practitioners, and for the various Reading Rooms I have been privileged to visit. My desire is that I may live so as to bear witness to the truth of this teaching.— Tacoma, Washington.
