How good it is to have given to us, through our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which teaches us how to read and understand the Bible, the Word of God!
I was reared by good Christian parents; my father's last years were spent in the ministry of a Christian church. I spent a number of years in a religious publishing house and a number of years as a practical medical nurse. I could not understand how a God of love and who lived up in the skies could put us on this earth to suffer and die so we could go where He was and live. So for about twenty years I had little or no use for church or religion.
About six years ago, when I could not do a good day's work, I took a job as a night watchman. I was sick in both body and mind, but when all looked so dark and discouraging, a friend came and lent me a copy of Science and Health to read. I took it, as I was tired of reading cheap novels, and I thought it was a joke. After reading a while I began to see why I could not get interested in the old religion. I knew I had found what I had failed to find before. I knew I had found God who *is Life and Love. Before I had read Science and Health through I was healed both physically and mentally.
