"The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." That this word of God is as efficacious today as it was in the time of the apostles, illustrates the eternality of the Christ in healing the sick and the sinner, and fulfills Scriptural promises.
I was instantaneously healed of a severe case of ptomaine poisoning, also of influenza, of an abscessed tooth, and of the need of wearing glasses which I had worn for nearly ten years. I can now read even the smallest print. For these healings I am profoundly grateful to God and to Mary Baker Eddy, the revelator of this practical truth, which Jesus demonstrated nineteen hundred years ago. I am also grateful for the loyalty of The Christian Science Board of Directors; for the new Publishing House; the Sanatoriums; the Reading Rooms; and especially The Christian Science Monitor (including the Weekly Magazine Section), that sturdy pioneer of our Cause that is "to spread undivided the Science that operates unspent" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353); and for class instruction. — Los Angeles, California.
