In Ezekiel we read: "And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing." To an innumerable company Christian Science has brought the fulfillment of this prophecy. The "evil beasts" of sin and disease have been vanquished, fear has been routed, peace established, and "showers of blessing" have been their happy lot. As one of this great host that is receiving these "showers of blessing" I wish to bear testimony to the healing and regenerating power of Christian Science.
In our home many discordant physical conditions have been destroyed through the healing efficacy of this new-old religion. In three days paralysis was overcome for my mother, and at about the same time she was healed of double vision. Through the help of practitioners I have been healed of severe colds, stomach trouble, extreme nervousness, and insomnia. When I took up the study of Christian Science I was about thirty pounds underweight, but today my weight is normal.
Sullenness and resentment have been routed from my thinking to a very great degree, and joyousness and gratitude have taken their place. Even if there had been no physical healings, surely there would be much cause for rejoicing over this regeneration. Also a human sense of responsibility has been vanquished to a great extent by realizing that "God creates and governs the universe, including man" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p.295), and that He requires only a childlike willingness to follow where He directs.
